🌅 Our Vision
🌱 Equipping & Sending
Ephesians 4:11–12
“And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ.”
👉 This is the core of Lighthouse — equipping, not replacing.
1 Corinthians 3:6–7
“I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth.”
👉 Perfect for your “sower, waterer, planter” DNA.
🌊 Sower, Waterer, Planter
🕯️ Shining the Light
🤝 Unity of the Body
Matthew 5:14–16
“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden… let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”
👉 A direct tie to the Lighthouse name and purpose.
1 Corinthians 12:12
“For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ.”
👉 Captures the “ministry of ministries” unity you’re building.
📖 Study, Learn, Practice, Engage
🌍 Going Back Out
Acts 1:8
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
👉 The sending-out heart of Lighthouse: back into churches, families, communities, and beyond.
2 Timothy 2:15
“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.”
👉 Encourages study, learning, and preparation for service.

A Ministry of Ministries
Galveston Lighthouse Church exists to strengthen the Body of Christ, not compete with it. We are a non-competing hub, intentionally closed on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings so believers remain rooted in their own churches. Our mission is to provide a place where people can grow, heal, and be equipped, and then return to their congregations and communities stronger than before.
A Lighthouse for Galveston
Like a lighthouse that guides ships safely to shore, we exist to shine, direct, and equip. We are not the harbor itself, but a beacon pointing people toward God’s purpose for their lives.
We believe every person carries unique gifts and callings. At Lighthouse, we help people discover those gifts, develop them through study and practice, and deploy them for Kingdom impact.
A Place to Grow and Go
Our pathway is simple:
Study – Encounter God’s Word in depth.
Learn – Gain knowledge, skills, and spiritual maturity.
Practice – Use your gifts in safe, Spirit-led spaces.
Engage – Step into ministry, service, and leadership.
Return – Go back into your church, family, and community empowered to serve.
Sowers, Waterers, Planters
The Apostle Paul wrote: “I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth.” (1 Corinthians 3:6)
This is the model for Lighthouse. We don’t claim ownership of the harvest — we simply sow seeds, water faith, and plant truth so that God can bring increase.
A Vision for the Island and Beyond
We see Lighthouse as a kingdom commons — a place where over 40+ ministries can gather, collaborate, and multiply their impact. Here, believers tithe not just money, but also their time, service, skills, knowledge, and abilities. Together, we are raising up disciples who will carry the light of Christ across Galveston Island and far beyond its shores.
Our Vision in One Sentence
A non-competing hub where believers are equipped, ministries are united, and the light of Christ shines brightly across Galveston and beyond.
